The likes of True Blood and The Vampire Diaries will have some competition this year as the iconic bloodsucker Count Dracula arrives on the small screen for a new 10-part reimagining of Bram Stoker's classic tale from NBC and Sky Living. An exclusive new trailer for Dracula will debut at Comic-Con on Saturday, but before then Yahoo! TV has posted seven rather impressive character posters featuring Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors) as Dracula, Victoria Smurfit (About a Boy) as Lady Jane, Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong) as Abraham Van Helsing, Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) as Mina Murray, Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Mr. Selfridge) as Jonathan Harker, Katie McGrath (Merlin) as Lucy Westenra and Nonso Anozie (Ender's Game) as R.M. Renfield; check them out here...
"Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars in this provocative new drama as one of the world’s most iconic characters. It’s the late 19th century and the mysterious Dracula (Rhys Meyers) has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He’s especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night — useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: He hopes to take revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan… until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife."
Dracula gets underway on NBC on October 25th.
