Ralph Fiennes (Coriolanus, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2) is in negotiations to star in The Grand Budapest Hotel, which will be written and directed by Wes Anderson (Moonrise Kingdom, Fantastic Mr. Fox).
He is set to play the hotel's perfectly composed concierge, M. Gustave, and would join a cast that includes Bill Murray (Moonrise Kingdom, Lost in Translation), Owen Wilson (Midnight in Paris, The Darjeeling Limited), and Jude Law (Anna Karenina, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows). Anderson is producing the European-set film with his Moonrise Kingdom collaborators Scott Rudin and Steven Rales.
Fiennes will next be seen in the James Bond movie Skyfall alongside Daniel Craig, Judi Dench and Javier Bardem, which is released in the UK on October 26th. He will star in Mike Newell's adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations with Helena Bonham Carter and Jason Flemyng, and is also playing Dickens himself in The Invisible Woman opposite Felicity Jones, which he has also directed.
