Keith Bunin's script, which appeared on the 2011 Black List, follows a mysterious stranger who has the power to speak with the dead. After he arrives in a small Nebraska town, the lives of the residents (including a widow and her young son) are transformed.
Philip Seymour Hoffman can next be seen in Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master with Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams, which is due out in the UK on November 2nd. He has also completed A Late Quartet with Christopher Walken and Catherine Keener, and is currently filming The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson.
