The first instalment of Warner Bros.’ two-part animated adaptation of Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns receives its premiere tomorrow in New York, and to further whet our appetites for its home entertainment release this coming week, a new clip has arrived online which sees a re-emerged Dark Knight taking a leaf out of Bane’s book as he unleashes his pent-up retirement frustration on an unsuspecting bad guy.First announced back at Comic Con last year, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is executive producer by DC animation legend Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series) and sees Peter Weller (RoboCop) lending his voice to Bruce Wayne / Batman alongside David Selby (The Social Network) as Commissioner Gordon, Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Carrie Kelley / Robin, Wade Williams (The Dark Knight Rises) as Harvey Dent / Two-Face and Michael McKean (This Is Spinal Tap) as Dr. Bartholomew Wolper.
