Walt Disney Pictures has set release dates for two of its upcoming live-action projects, with Jon Favreau's upcoming Rudyard Kipling adaptation Jungle Book becoming the latest high profile release to join the 2015 slate, hitting cinemas on October 9th, 2015, and Alice in Wonderland 2 scheduled for May 27th 2016.
2015 is shaping up to be a busy year for Disney, which also has Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella, Brad Bird's Tomorrowland and Pixar's Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur, Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, and of course J.J. Abrams'Star Wars: Episode VII all set for release.
As yet, there's no word on casting for Favreau's Jungle Book, although it's been confirmed that Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska will both be back for Alice 2, which sees James Bobin (The Muppets) taking over directing duties from Tim Burton.
