It had been rumoured for some time, the script was struggling to get sold and it felt for a while that the sequel to 1994's Dumb and Dumber was going to go the way of Bill & Ted 3. But today marked the first day of production of Dumb & Dumber To and - as it is with every movie these days it seems - the stars tweeted some set photos for us.
Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey, who reprise their roles as the dimwitted Harry and Lloyd, shared the photos today via Twitter and WhoSay.
Daniels tweeted this photo with the caption, "We're back!! #DumbTo"...

While Carrey used WhoSay to post this photo, which seemed to be aimed at marketing his book than the movie, with the caption, "How Roland Rolls comes out TODAY but it may be a little too sophisticated for Lloyd and Harry! Yep... THEY'RE BAAAAAACK!"

At the Emmys where he won for The Newsroom, Daniels promised that this movie would "outgross" the original, "There are some things we’re going to do in Dumb and Dumber To that make the toilet scene in the original seem lame".
Dumb and Dumber To is set for release next year (marking the 20th Anniversary of the movie) with a script from John Morris and Sean Anders (Horrible Bosses) and directed by The Farrelly Brothers. Jim Carrey has yet to denounce the movie.
