Now considering the source, I'd get your pinch of salt ready here, but according to British newspaper The Mirror, director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, Thor: The Dark World) could be set to reunite The Terminator stars Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) and Michael Biehn (Kyle Reese) with Arnold Schwarzenneger for 2015's reboot of James Cameron's classic sci-fi action series.
The paper reports that Arnie is looking at a $20 million payday to appear in Terminator (that's Terminator 5 if you're going by old money) to appear in the first of what is being planned as a new trilogy, which will apparently be set in the 1950s and may see Dwayne Johnson (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain) taking on the role of the unstoppable cyborg killing machine. Of course it makes little sense as to how Hamilton and Biehn could figure into the storyline as their original characters, unless Taylor plans to feature the actors in cameos as a wink to fans of the original series.
Terminator is set for release on June 26th 2015, with Taylor directing a script from Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry).
