With just over two months to go before the release of Thor: The Dark World, Marvel Studios has followed up the recent batch of new images by debuting two new character posters for the Phase Two sequel featuring Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder and Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief. Thor: The Dark World is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) and sees Hemsworth and Hiddleston joined in the cast by returning Thor stars Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Rene Russo (Frigga), Stellan Skarsgård (Erik Selvig), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Ray Stevenson, (Volstagg) Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Tadanobu Asano (Hogun) and Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), along with Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomers Zachary Levi (Chuck) as Fandral, Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) as Malekith the Accursed, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as Algrim the Strong / Kurse.
