All hail the almighty quiff!
Resident BBC film critic and quiff connoisseur Mark Kermode has revealed his top five films of 2013 thus far on his Kermode Uncut blog. You can watch him announce them in the video below, backdropped by a picturesque field...or you can just read the semi-transcription below. It's not as picturesque, though. Or quiffy.

5. Love is All You Need- "Mamma Mia! meets Dogma."

4. No- "It was political, it was important, it was personal and interesting."

3. The Act of Killing - "The executive producers include Errol Morris and Werner Herzog, and somehow that sums up the achievement of the film."

2. Beyond the Hills - "It's one of those films that manages to look at religion and life and poverty and social realism and do it all in a way which is both artistic and somehow insightful."

1. Good Vibrations - "It's one of those films that will put a smile on your face and a spring in your step...it is shaping up to be my favourite film of 2013."

What are your favourite films of 2013 so far?
