Over the past few months there's been plenty of speculation about potential additions to the roster of the Expendables for the third movie in Millennium's action franchise, but with The Expendables 3 now gearing up to go into production in Bulgaria, it seems the cast is finally starting to come together.
Just last week Sylvester Stallone revealed that Harrison Ford had signed on as a replacement for "greedy and lazy" Bruce Willis, and now Deadline is reporting that both Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas have signed on to appear in the Patrick Hughes-directed threequel. It's unclear what roles they'll be playing, but there have been persistent rumours that Mad Mel is set to portray the villain, much like he's set to do in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills.
The Expendables 3 is set for release in August 2014, with Stallone, Gibson and Banderas set to be joined by returning stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture and Mickey Rourke. Other talent said to be in negotiations include Wesley Snipes, Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, Milla Jovovich, Nicolas Cage, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey and Victor Ortiz.
