Lionsgate has released an international trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, which features snippets of new footage from the eagerly-anticipated sequel to last year's box-office hit. Check it out after the official synopsis...
"THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever."
Catching Fire sees Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) taking over directing duties from Gary Ross, with Jennifer Lawrence returning alongside Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Willow Shields. New additions to TheHunger Games include Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Jena Malone (Donnie Darko), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master), Jeffrey Wright (Broken City), Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction) and Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set for release on November 22nd, 2013.
