The Inbetweeners Movie 2 announced for next year

The Inbetweeners Movie grossed nearly £58 million from a a £3.5 million budget, and set a new record for the most successful opening weekend ever achieved by a comedy film in the UK. So though it was meant as an ending to the TV series, it's hardly surprising that the success lead to rumours of a sequel, which has now been confirmed!

Creators and co-writers Iain Morris and Damon Beeseley said:

"We couldn't be more excited to be making another Inbetweeners movie with Simon, Joe, James and Blake. Frankly it’s pathetic how much we've all missed each other. A new chapter in the lives of the Inbetweeners feels like the very least we can do to thank the fans for their phenomenal response to the first movie."

The Inbetweeners Movie 2 is currently in production, and is set for release across the UK & Ireland in August 2014.
