Jason Aaron, Jason Latour and Paco Diaz have joined forces to create a new 13-part Infinite Comics series specifically designed for mobile devices titled Wolverine: Japan’s Most Wanted.
With the Silver Samurai, hordes of ninjas and the deadly Sabretooth hot on Wolverine’s tail – will Logan make it out in one piece?
“Following the critical acclaim we had with Guardians of the Galaxy and Ultimate Spider-Man, fans are primed to immerse themselves in comics like never before as we take advantage of the technical aspects of the digital reading experience and continue to bring them to the next level,” explained David Gabriel, SVP of Publishing, Print & Digital Sales. “By providing these comics on a weekly basis, we are furthering our commitment of bringing a new kind of digital reading experience to a wider audience than ever before.”
Wolverine will not be alone for long as the second weekly Infinite Comics series arrives in October 2013 called Iron Man: Fatal Frontier which is written by Kieron Gillen (Iron Man) and Al Ewing (Avengers Assemble), and illustrated by Lan Medina (Venom).
When a powerful new element is discovered beneath the moon’s surface, a cosmic gold rush breaks out between the Marvel Universe’s greatest factions and foes—including the Master of Evil himself, Doctor Doom. As chaos erupts, Iron Man must race to the moon—yes, THE MOON—for a knockdown, drag-out war with the Lord of Latveria.
“This ties into the continuity of the monthly Iron Man book and you’ll see characters from Kieron’s run playing crucial roles in this story,” explained Marvel Senior Editor Mark Paniccia. “But something big is going to happen in Iron Man: Fatal Frontier that will impact Tony in moving forward and Tony may never be the same.”
Wolverine: Japan’s Most Wanted is currently available by the Marvel Comics app and online in the Marvel Digital Comics Shop whileIron Man: Fatal Frontier arrives in October 2013.
