The animated children's comedy series Teen Titans Go! has been renewed for a second season by Cartoon Network, TV Guide has revealed.
Despite failing to excite many DC fans left disappointed by the cancellation of Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Teen Titans Go! has been a ratings hit for Cartoon Network, averaging 1.7 million viewers in its Tuesday night slot, where it is the number 1 rated show in its key demographics, so it comes as little surprise to hear that the young superheroes will be back for a second run of episodes.
Teen Titans Go! brings together the voice cast of the original Teen Titans cartoon, and began its life as a series of DC Nation shorts before expanding into a full series earlier this year. It will be joined on Cartoon Network by another DC offering this summer with the premiere of the CG-animated Beware the Batman from executive producer Glen Murakami (Batman Beyond).
