After last weeks epic Man of Steel trailer (it felt like a movie all on its own didn't it?), Empire Magazine's latest issue is released on Thursday and is very timely devoted to the upcoming reboot, with two great looking covers - one for Superman (Henry Cavill) himself and the other for General Zod (Michael Shannon), who continues to look even more terrifying with each new image.
The magazine has some further images to tease and make us droll over, the piece de resistance being an image of Zod, eyes glowing with heat vision. If that alone isn't enough to make you geek-out over, then there is always Faora (Antje Traue) choking Martha Kent (Diane Lane); does Zod learn the Kent's parentage of Kal-El after his arrival on Earth, or were the Kents chosen, ala Smallville? Interesting stuff to chew on for the next few weeks - just over 7 now, if you were wondering.
Look out for our 'Man of Steel Countdown' this Friday, rounding up the latest news and what we think it all means.
Man of Steel is out on June 14th and also stars Amy Adams (The Fighter) as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe (Les Miserables) as Jor-El, Kevin Costner (Hatfields & McCoys) as Jonathan Kent and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) as Perry White.
