Earlier this year it was announced that Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes - the company behind the recent horror reboots of Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street - would next turn its attention to another classic horror franchise for (another) remake of John Carpenter's 1978 classic Halloween. Bad news, perhaps, for horror traditionalists, but now an animatic has surfaced online from Federico D’Alessandro, Head Storyboard Artist and Animatics Supervisor at Marvel Studios (whose credits include Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World), which he used to pitch for the directing job on Halloween.
Sadly, despite being well received (and with good reason), the pitch was wasted as talks between Platinum Dunes and the Weinsteins fell through, but now D’Alessandro has released the video through his website (via SlashFilm), and you can check it out right here...
Surely this would have been an improvement over Rob Zombie's remake, wouldn't you say..?
