NBC and Donald Glover have struck up a new deal. Glover, who is one of the stars of NBC's Community, is developing a new comedy for the network. The actor/rapper and 30 Rock co-executive producer Matt Hubbard are working on a pilot that would potentially star Glover himself. The show would be vaguely based on Donald Glover's life and the network already likes what they hear. NBC is very close to taking on the pilot. With Glover already on Community, this new project could potentially see his departure from the show. However, Community hasn’t been doing particularly well in the ratings so it may not last past it's upcoming 4th season, which would leave Glover's schedule wide open for a new show.
