Walt Disney Pictures generated a lot of excitement with the first trailer for Wreck-It Ralph back in June, and now the studio has debuted a brand new theatrical trailer which should leave video game fans giddy with anticipation for the release of the CG-animated feature.
Wreck-It Ralph is directed by Rich Moore (The Simpsons, Futurama) and sees Reilly joined in the voice cast by the likes of Silverman (The Sarah Silverman Program), Jake McBrayer (Despicable Me), Jane Lynch (Glee) and Brandon T. Jackson (Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son). The film arrives in North American cinemas on November 2nd ahead of a UK release on February 15th, 2013.
The movie centres on the eponymous video game villain (voiced by John C. Reilly; Step Brothers), who finds himself tired of playing the bad guy in the fictional 8-bit arcade game ‘Fix-It Felix Jr.’ [which you can play here] and decides to set off on a voyage of discovery in order to prove he has what it takes to be a hero. In doing so, he also encounters a virtual who’s who of classic video game characters, and you’ll probably have to watch the trailer below several times just to catch half of the cameos that Disney has in store for us.
