Earlier this month we got our first look at Martin McDonagh’s (In Bruges and Academy Award Winning short Six Shooter) next directorial outing, Seven Psychopaths, which looked hilariously brilliant. Today however we’ve been treated to a Red Band trailer which cranks everything up several notches. Be warned folks, there’s more profanity in here than there is explosions in a Michael Bay film.
Seven Psychopaths sees Colin Farrell pair up with McDonagh again as frustrated screenwriter, Marty, who has some rather oddball friends in the form of Billy (Sam Rockwell) and Hans (Christopher Walken), who have the ingenious idea of stealing peoples dogs and returning them for a reward.
Unfortunately for them they end up stealing the beloved canine of one crazy and violent gangster, Charlie (Woody Harrelson), which is the jump off point for a Shih Tzu of trouble heading their way.
Everyone is looking on top comedic form here, and it’s looking smart as well as funny, and you can catch Seven Psychopaths in the UK on December 7th.
