Girl Meets World has found its star. Rowan Blanchard has been cast as Riley in the new Disney show Girl Meets World, a sequel to the hit ABC series Boy Meets World.
Executive producer Michael Jacobs had this to say to Entertainment Weekly about his new star: “As soon as Rowan walked into the room, I was reminded of why Ben Savage was loved as Cory Matthews. Rowan is real and accessible and I am hopeful this girl is about to meet a world that will love growing up with her as well."
Blanchard is best known for her role in Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D. She will be joining Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who have already signed on to reprise their roles, for what looks to be a great television family. Girl Meets World is set to begin production in February.
