It looks like M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) is bringing his talents to the small screen. Syfy has ordered his pilot Proof, which is co-written by TV writer Marti Noxon (Glee, Mad Men). Both Shyamalan and Noxon will executive produce the pilot along with Ashin Rajan, while Shyamalan also "intends on directing" as well. Proof focuses on the son of a billionaire tech genius who offers a large reward for proof of life after death following the death of his parents. This will be Shyamalan's first attempt at television, although he did work with Syfy on the documentary The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan. There is no word yet when the pilot will commence shooting, or when a potential air date could be.
M. Night Shyamalan has just finished up work on his next project, After Earth, which stars Will Smith and Jaden Smith. Most recently he directed the unanimously panned The Last Airbender and wrote and produced the thriller Devil.
