With Disney's shock acquisition of Lucasfilm and the subsequent announcement of a new Star Wars trilogy grabbing all of the headlines this week, it's been easy to forget that the House of Mouse is currently gearing up to launch 'Phase Two' of its other multi-billion dollar franchise. So, just to give us a gentle reminder that Robert Downey Jr.'s billionaire industrialist-turned-Earth's Mightiest Hero Tony Stark is heading back to cinemas in just a few short months, Marvel has released a new shot of Iron Man 3's primary antagonist The Mandarin, portrayed by Oscar-winner Ben Kingsley...

Directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), Iron Man 3 sees RDJ and Sir Ben joined by Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Don Cheadle (James 'Rhodey' Rhodes) and Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), while new additions to the cast include Guy Pearce (Prometheus) as Aldrich Killian, James Badge Dale (The Lone Ranger) as Eric Savin / Coldblood, Ashley Hamilton (Sunset Beach) as Jack Taggert / Firepower and Rebecca Hall (The Town) as Maya Hansen.

"Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?"

Iron Man 3 arrives in UK cinemas on April 26th, 2013 ahead of a North American release on May 3rd, 2013.
