DreamWorks Animation has released a new trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2, the upcoming sequel to the CG-animated 2010 box office smash, and you can check it out below - although be warned, there's a pretty spoilery plot point revealed which has stirred up some controversy...."The thrilling second chapter of the epic “How to Train Your Dragon” trilogy brings back the fantastical world of Hiccup and Toothless five years later. While Astrid, Snoutlout and the rest of the gang are challenging each other to dragon races (the island’s new favorite contact sport), the now inseparable pair journey through the skies, charting unmapped territories and exploring new worlds. When one of their adventures leads to the discovery of a secret ice cave that is home to hundreds of new wild dragons and the mysterious Dragon Rider, the two friends find themselves at the center of a battle to protect the peace."
Jay Baruchel (This Is the End), Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen), Jonah Hill (Moneyball), America Ferrera (End of Watch), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Kick-Ass 2) and Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) all return to the voice cast for How to Train Your Dragon 2 alongside new additions T.J. Miller (Rock of Ages) and Kit Harington (Games of Thrones).
How to Train Your Dragon 2 opens on June 13th 2014 in North America and July 4th 2014 here in the UK.
