Platinum Dunes and Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer for the found footage time travel film Welcome to Yesterday, which takes a leaf out of Chronicle's book and centres on a group of teenagers who stumble upon a time machine and take the opportunity to have a little irresponsible fun in the past (the fools!).
The film is based on a spec script by Andrew Stark and Jason Pagan (Paranormal Activity 5) entitled Almanac, which Michael Bay discovered when searching for a film in a similar vein to Chronicle. It marks the directorial debut of Dean Israelite (cousin to Jonathan Liebesman, director of the Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot) and features Jonny Weston (John Dies at the End), Ginny Gardner (Glee), Sam Lerner (Suburgatory) and Allen Evangelista (The Secret Life of the American Teenager).

Welcome to Yesterday is set for release in North America on February 28th 2014.
