Chloe Sevigny to star in Those Who Kill

Chloe Sevigny (Lovelace) has landed one of the lead roles in A&E’s forthcoming drama pilot Those Who Kill. The new drama is based on an adaptation of a Danish crime series based on the books by Elsebeth Egholm which centre on a police detective and a forensic profiler who possess a deep understanding of the serial killers they hunt. The pilot is being directed by Joe Carnahan - who has an impressive track record having helmed features films such as The Grey, The A-Team and the brilliant Narc - with the script being written by Glen Morgan (Final Destination 3, The One).

Deadline reports that Sevigny is set the play female lead Catherine Jensen, the newly appointed detective in the Boston Police Department’s Homicide Division who is intelligent, fearless, strong and determined. The young actress has already bagged herself Golden Globe for her role as Nicolette Grant in HBO’s Big Love as well as being nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of Lana Tisdel in Boys Don’t Cry. More recently she starred in Paul Abbot’s Sky Atlantic drama Hit and Miss.

Danish dramas are very much in vogue at the moment with a number of U.S. remakes of popular Danish shows such as The Killing, while The Bridge is also receiving the a U.S. makeover starring Diane Kruger (Troy) and Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs).
