Over the weekend Amy Adams attended the premiere of David O. Russell's American Hustle, but - following last week's big announcement that Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious) has secured the role of Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman - much of the topic of conversation during the press interviews surrounded Zack Snyder's upcoming Man of Steel sequel and her thoughts on the addition of another strong female character to the fledgling DC Cinematic Universe.

"Oh did they? I don't even know, so clearly I'm not the person to talk to," said Adams when asked by Collider how long she had known about the casting. "That's awesome, I hope I get a scene with her. I love working with the gals. I think we start [filming] in February, it's sort of the plan. I'm excited, I think it's gonna be awesome!" I think it's gonna be good times."

And as for the possibility of a love-triangle between Lois Lane and the New 52 couple, Adams told SuperHeroHype that she'd prefer to avoid that type of scenario: "Am I interested? I don’t know. I mean, we’ll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we’re not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries. That would be fun. It would be nice of women weren't always catfighting and stuff!"

Batman vs. Superman is set for release on July 17th 2015 with a cast that also includes Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne / Batman), Diane Lane (Martha Kent) and Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), while American Hustle opens on December 20th in the States and January 1st 2014 in the UK with Adams starring alongside Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro and Jeremy Renner.
