The Italian-American filmmaker currently has several projects on the horizon post-The Wolf of Wall Street, with Scorsese revealing to Swide that his planned Sinatra biopic "is still going strong" while he's also hinted an another project for HBO that will deal with faith:
"Right now I have a project for HBO, the pay TV cable channel, about another big name in the Church.... [Pope] Celestine V.... It's a story that takes place over just a few days. And it's great".
Scorsese works well with period pieces, Italian-Americans, and even biopics, so Sinatra certainly looks to be one to watch out for (I'm willing to bet Leonardo DiCaprio will be involved), while the project for HBO is also exciting. I'm hoping for a TV movie, which are all the rage these days...
