Two new series regulars for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
In an effort to shake things up and expand its core cast, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is to add two new recruits to its ranks, with TV Line reporting that "episode 14 will introduce two recurring characters: an African-American agent who specialises in combat/weapons, and a high level S.H.I.E.L.D. agent/munitions expert who has past ties to both Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Ward (Brett Dalton)."

The show has found itself coming under fire from many fans since its premiere in September, with some of the criticism aimed towards its rather bland characters, as well as a lack of diversity in the cast, so the addition of these two characters seems to be an attempt on Marvel's part to counter those concerns.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs in the States on Tuesdays and here in the UK on Fridays, with a cast that also includes Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, and Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons.
