The CW will take a huge leap forward in its ever-expanding DC Television Universe with tomorrow night's episode of Arrow, as Grant Gustin (Glee) makes his debut as Barry Allen in the first of a two-part midseason finale which will build to a standalone pilot for The Flash early next year, and a clip has arrived online, which sees Barry meeting Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Detective Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne); check it out after the official episode description...
A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured.
And if that's not enough to whet your appetite, here's a 'Producer's View' featurette on 'The Scientist', with executive producer Andrew Kreisberg discussing the episode....
'The Scientist' airs on The CW tomorrow evening.
