Now that the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special is out of the way, attention is starting to shift towards the upcoming Christmas Special, which will see Matt Smith vacate the role of the Doctor as he hands the baton over to Peter Capaldi.
The BBC has revealed that the Christmas Special will be going by the title 'The Time of the Doctor' and has the following description: "On December 25th, Clara (Jenna Coleman) and The Doctor must go to a quiet backwater planet in order to learn what some strange signals mean for his very last existence."
