The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer arriving December 5th

We'd previously heard from director Marc Webb that the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 would be attached to the theatrical release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on December 13th, but it's now been revealed via Sony's Spider-Man Facebook page that we'll actually be getting it slightly earlier, with the trailer now set to hit on December 5th.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 sees Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker / Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) and Sally Field (Aunt May) returning to the cast alongside franchise newcomers Jamie Foxx (White House Down) as Electro, Paul Giamatti (Saving Mr. Banks) as The Rhino, Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) as Harry Osborn, Chris Cooper (The Muppets) as Norman Osborn and Colm Feore (Thor), Felicity Jones (Like Crazy), Sarah Gadon (Cosmopolis) and B.J. Novak (The Office) in as-yet-unrevealed roles.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release in the UK on April 18th 2014 and in North America on May 1st, 2014.
