In the run up to the release of 21 Jump Street, Jonah Hill, Rob Riggle, and Channing Tatum made a series of promotional videos. They were obviously ad-libed in front of a green screen and were utterly hilarious. So in keeping with the first movie, Channing Tatum has released a video from the set of 22 Jump Street where he spoofs the recent Volvo commercial starring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Tatum does a split between two food carts - not as impressive as Van Damme, but certainly hilarious...
Principal photography for 22 Jump Street began in September, with Phil Lord and Chris Miller returning to direct from a script by Michael Bacall, Oren Uziel, and Rodney Rothman. Ice Cube returns to the cast alongside Tatum and Hill, with Amber Stevens (Greek, The Amazing Spider-Man) joining the cast. According to The Wrap, the story is as follows:
"22 Jump Street follows officers Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Tatum) as they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. In addition to cracking the case, the two freshmen must figure out if they can have a mature relationship like real men."
22 Jump Street is set for release on June 13th, 2014.
