Coinciding with James Bond's return to cinemas yesterday in Skyfall (read our reviews here and here), it's been reported that producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are now switching their attention to future instalments in the long-running spy series, with Skyfall screenwriter John Logan making a deal to pen 007's 24th and 25th big screen adventures, having successfully pitched the producers an original two-movie arc.
According to Deadline, Logan - whose other credits include the Academy Award-nominated scripts for Gladiator, The Aviator and Hugo, along with films such as The Last Samurai, Rango, Coriolanus and the upcoming Noah - has already begun work on the two screenplays, and that "if plans work out, this would be the first Bond film with a storyline to be played out over multiple films, and it certainly makes it feasible that the pictures could be shot back-to-back."
Daniel Craig is already confirmed as reprising the role of 007 for Bond 24 and Bond 25, with the former expected to arrive towards the end of 2014. Meanwhile Skyfall opened in UK cinemas yesterday, and is set for release in North America on November 9th.
