Sony released the fourth generation of the PlayStation console last week and in the first 24 hours sold 1 million units, with most coming from pre-orders, giving the company a healthy head start in the console war against Microsoft and its Xbox One.
CEO of Sony Adam House said, "PS4 was designed with an unwavering commitment to gamers, and we are thrilled that consumer reaction has been so phenomenal." It is predicted that Sony will have sold over 5 million consoles by March 2014.
With Sony steaming ahead in the console wars, Microsoft must ready themselves for November 22nd when the Xbox One goes on release within the U.K. and North America. For those in Europe and Latin America, the PS4 will be released on November 29th.
