There's been plenty of excitement building for RZA's upcoming directorial debut The Man with the Iron Fists since the first trailer arrived back in June, and with the film now just weeks away from hitting cinemas, Universal Pictures has released a short motion-comic style animated prequel to the kung fu epic entitled 'The Encounter', which gives us a little backstory on RZA's Blacksmith character.
"This prequel side story to The Man with the Iron Fists finds the Blacksmith (RZA) on his way to China via a Dutch trading vessel. At a typical port stop, the Blacksmith and the crew have an unfortunate encounter..."

'Presented' by Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained) and co-written by Eli Roth (Hostel), The Man with the Iron Fists sees RZA starring alongside the likes of Russell Crowe (Man of Steel), Lucy Lui (Kill Bill: Vol. 1), Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch), Cung Le (Dragon Eyes), Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) and former WWE star Dave Bautista (The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking). The film opens in North America on November 2nd, ahead of a UK release on November 16th.
