Michiel Huisman joins Game of Thrones season 4

David Benioff and D. B. Weiss have added another name to the expanding cast of Game of Thrones, with TV Line revealing that Treme and Nashville star Michiel Huisman has signed on for a recurring role in season four of the hit fantasy series, although his character is being kept under wraps for the time being.

Dutch actor Huisman is the seventh new name announced for the forthcoming season of the HBO show, with Mark Gatiss (Sherlock) also set to feature in another as-yet-unrevealed role, Joseph Gatt (Banshee) signing on for Styr, Roger Ashton-Griffiths (Gangs of New York) portraying Mace Tyrell and Pedro Pascal (Graceland) and Indira Varma (Rome) securing the roles of Oberyn Martell and as his mistress Ellaria Sand. Meanwhile Dean Charles-Chapman - who will be familiar to Game of Thrones fans as Martyn Lannister - is also reportedly set to replace Callum Wharry as Tommen Baratheon, the younger brother of King Joffrey.

Game of Thrones season 4 is set to get underway on HBO in the Spring.
