It seems that Paramount Pictures just can't decide on a release date for its upcoming live-action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; first, the film was scheduled to arrive this Christmas, before script problems pushed the date back to May 2014 and then June 2014. Well, it's happened again, with Deadline reporting that Paramount (understandably) was to avoid competition with Michael Bay's Transformers 4, which opens on June 25th 2014, so now the Heroes in a Half-Shell are set to make their return to the big screen on August 8th, 2014 - one week after the arrival of Marvel's cosmic superhero team-up Guardians of the Galaxy.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is produced by Michael Bay (Pain & Gain) and directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans), while the cast includes Megan Fox (Transformers) as April O'Neil, Alan Ritchson (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) as Raphael, Noel Fisher (Battle Los Angeles) as Michelangelo, Danny Woodburn (Mirror Mirror) as Splinter, Jeremy Howard (How the Grinch Stole Christmas) as Donatello, Pete Ploszek (Parks and Recreation) as Leonardo, Will Arnett (Arrested Development) as April's cameraman Vernon Fenwick, and William Fichtner (Drive Angry) as The Shredder.
