Newcomer Glen Powell joins The Expendables 3

As The Expendables 3 gears up to go into production in Bulgaria, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that another name has been added to the cast, with newcomer Glen Powell joining the roster of the Patrick Hughes-directed action threequel. Powell, who appeared in a minor role in The Dark Knight Rises, is set to play "a highly trained combat veteran who is also an expert hacker and drone pilot."

The up-and-coming actor joins a star-studded cast on The Expendables 3 which so far includes Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Victor Ortiz and Ronda Rousey. Other names said to be in negotiations include Wesley Snipes, Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, Milla Jovovich, Nicolas Cage and Kellan Lutz, although there's no place this time around for Bruce Willis, who Stallone described as "greedy and lazy" after the Die Hard star reportedly refused a $3 million pay cheque for 4 days work.

The Expendables 3 is currently set for release on August 15th, 2014.
