Guardians of the Galaxy news is coming thick and fast at the moment. Yesterday, we brought you a selection of set photos as director James Gunn (Super) and company shot scenes of fleeing alien extras on London's Millennium Bridge [see here], and earlier today it was reported that Vin Diesel (Riddick) was in negotiations to lend his voice to Groot [see here]. Now we have our first look at another cast member, with an image from this past weekend's D23 footage surfacing online featuring Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation) as the half human / half-alien leader of the Guardians, Star-Lord...
Guardians of the Galaxy is set for release on August 1st 2014, with Chris Pratt joined in the cast by Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora, Dave Bautista (Riddick) as Drax the Destroyer, Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead) as Yondu, Benicio Del Toro (Sin City) as The Collector, Lee Pace (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) as Ronan the Accuser, Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) as Nebula, John C. Reilly (Step Brothers) as Rhomman Dey, and Glenn Close (Damages) as the leader of the Nova Corps.
