Ever since he first revealed that he's met with Marvel Studios about a possible role, speculation has been rife as to which character Vin Diesel could be portraying in the Cinematic Universe. Well, it now looks like we have our answer, with the Fast & Furious and Riddick star taking to Facebook last night to drop a not-very-subtle hint, posting an image of the tree-like creature Groot from next year's cosmic superhero effort Guardians of the Galaxy.
According to Deadline, Diesel is talks about lending his voice to the character, where he would join a cast that includes Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora, Dave Bautista (Riddick) as Drax the Destroyer, Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead) as Yondu, Benicio Del Toro (Sin City) as The Collector, Lee Pace (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) as Ronan the Accuser, Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) as Nebula, John C. Reilly (Step Brothers) as Rhomman Dey and Glenn Close (Damages) as the leader of the Nova Corps.
Guardians of the Galaxy is set for release on August 1st, 2014.
