This year we've seen very little of the exclusive footage shown at the San Diego Comic-Con making its way online, but now we do have a glimpse at the sizzle reel for one of next year's big superhero offerings in Sony's forthcoming sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Now the quality of this footage is poor, and it's probably not going to stay online for too long, so check it out while you still can...
"In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past."
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is set for release on April 18th, 2014 in the UK and May 2nd, 2014 in North America, with Marc Webb directing a cast that sees Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker / Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) and Sally Field (Aunt May) joined by franchise newcomers Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained), Paul Giamatti (Sideways), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), Chris Cooper (American Beauty), Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) and Colm Feore (Thor).
