Twilight star Kellan Lutz in talks for The Expendables 3

It's been a couple of weeks since we last heard any casting news / rumours / speculation about The Expendables 3, but now we have word about another possible addition to the cast and surprisingly, it's not a veteran action icon but rather rising star Kellan Lutz, best known for his role as Emmett Cullen in The Twilight Saga. According to The Wrap, Lutz has entered talks with Millennium Films and is being eyed for a role as part of "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes who initially clash with the older crew, though they eventually team up to save the day."

At this point in time, it's unclear just who will be lining up alongside Sylvester Stallone in the Patrick Hughes-directed sequel, although it's been reported that veteran Expendables Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li and Mickey Rourke will all be back alongside new additions that may or may not include Jackie Chan (Rush Hour), Wesley Snipes (Blade), Nicolas Cage (Con Air), Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil), Mel Gibson (Lethal Weapon) and Steven Seagal (Under Siege).

The Expendables 3 is currently slated for release on August 15th 2014.
