Amid a glowing batch of first reviews for South Korean filmmaker Joon-ho Bong's (The Host, Mother) English language debut Snowpiercer, an animated prequel to the post-apocalyptic thriller has now been released, showing just how the world comes to be decimated when an experiment to prevent global warming goes belly up, sparking a new Ice Age.Based upon the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette, Snowpiercer features an impressive all star cast which includes Chris Evans (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), John Hurt (Immortals), Jamie Bell (The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn), Ed Harris (Game Change), Ewen Bremner (Jack the Giant Slayer), Octavia Spencer (The Help), Go Ah-sung (The Host), Kang-ho Song (The Good, the Bad, the Weird), Alison Pill (Scott Pilgrim vs the World) and Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin).
