Following up a panel that included Seventh Son, Godzilla, 300: Rise of an Empire, Gravity, The LEGO Movie and Edge of Tomorrow was always going to be a tough act to follow (and that's without the surprise announcements regarding Duncan Jones' World of Warcraft and Zack Snyder's World's Finest movie), but Lionsgate has given it their best shot by releasing a brand new Comic-Con trailer for the hotly-anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, we have it for you below....
"THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever."
Catching Fire sees Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) taking over directing duties from Gary Ross, with Jennifer Lawrence leading a cast that also includes returning stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Toby Jones and Willow Shields alongside Hunger Games newcomers Sam Claflin (Snow White and the Huntsman), Jena Malone (Donnie Darko), Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master), Jeffrey Wright (Broken City), Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction) and Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set for release on November 22nd, 2013.
