Marvel Studios is set to showcase its feature film slate later today at the San Diego Comic-Con, but yesterday Joss Whedon gave fans an exclusive first-look at the upcoming TV series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as the pilot episode received its world premiere, and now ABC has released a batch of official stills, which you can check out right here...
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will premiere in the States on ABC, with a cast that includes Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen (Stargate Universe), Brett Dalton (Killing Lincoln), Iain De Caestecker (Filth), Elizabeth Henstridge (The Thompsons), Chloe Bennet (Nashville) and J. August Richards (Angel), while Cobie Smulders will reprise the role of Agent Maria Hill for the pilot episode.
Shifting to Marvel's animated output and the Marvel Television panel has taken place this afternoon at Comic-Con, during which it was announced that Ultimate Spider-Man has been renewed for a third season, with the following still suggesting that Spidey will find himself fighting alongside the Avengers Assemble incarnation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes...
As part of the panel, Marvel's Head of Television Jeph Loeb also screened episodes of Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and Avengers Assemble, as well as a Marvel Mash-Up comedy short, which are set to run as part of Disney XD's Marvel Universe programming block.
