The 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International kicks off today for its annual celebration of geek culture and over the coming days we'll be rounding up all of the biggest news and reveals, starting with yesterday's Preview Night, where press were invited to grab a sneak peek at all the entertainment goodies on offer to the those lucky enough to be attending this weekend. Bleeding Cool, Cinema Blend, Collider and First Showing have some great photo galleries of the convention floor, featuring tonnes of props, costumes and other promotional bits and pieces from the likes of Thor: The Dark World, Man of Steel, The Hobbit, Star Wars, The Lego Movie, Elysium, Predator 3D, Pacific Rim, Seventh Son, Edge of Tomorrow, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and hell even The A-Team! Before Marvel Studios' hotly-anticipated presentation on Saturday, Sony will take to Hall H to show off The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with a panel featuring director Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx, and to ramp up the excitement the studio has released a short teaser giving us our first look at footage from next year's sequel as we're introduced to Foxx's bad guy Electro...
...On Saturday, 20th Century Fox's Hall H presentation will also have a Marvel flavour; in addition to The Wolverine [read our review here], it's thought that Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past could be included, while the studio is also expected to confirm its plans for the future of the X-Men franchise, including the recently announced X-Force spin-off. Anyway, here's a statue of the Silver Samurai, coming back way of ComicBookMovie...
...And, it's not quite an announcement on Justice League or Man of Steel 2, but Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment has also released a SDCC trailer for the forthcoming documentary Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics, which pretty much does what it says on the tin...
Of course, it's not only superheroes set to make an impact in San Diego, with Legendary Pictures set to turn up the heat by showcasing its hotly-anticipated Godzilla movie from Monsters director Gareth Edwards; Collider has put together a gallery of images from inside 'Godzilla Encounter', an exhibit that celebrates the 60-year history of the character, while a new Comic-Con poster has also surfaced teasing the massive size of the King of the Monsters in next year's remake...
..And finally, LEGO will also be showing off its various licenses on the convention floor, and as part of the attraction, they've created life-size versions of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man and Henry Cavill's Superman [see Collider], as well as a six-feet, five-inch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles totem pole which took the company 400 hours to construct; here it is, via The Hollywood Reporter...
