Warning - this post may contain a pretty big spoiler warning for Thor: The Dark World...

This November we'll return to the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as director Alan Taylor takes us back to Asgard for the God of Thunder's second solo outing, Thor: The Dark World. Among the additions to the cast of the sequel is Clive Russell (Game of Thrones), and during an interview with Flicks and the City the actor may have inadvertently dropped a major spoiler about a surprise appearance from a character set to feature in the currently-in-production Guardians of the Galaxy.

When asked what it was like working with stars such as Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Hopkins (Odin) and Rene Russo (Frigga), Russell - who portrays the character Tyr, the Asgardian God of War - said: "I worked with Benicio del Toro on a scene in which he was meant to be quite angry." Assuming Russell is referring to Thor: The Dark World - which appears to be the case, judging by the video - then it looks like we might be seeing The Collector almost a year earlier than expected (providing of course that Del Toro is indeed playing The Collector, and not Thanos).

Thor: The Dark World is set for release on October 30th in the UK and November 8th in North America, with a cast that also includes Marvel veterans Stellan Skarsgård (Erik Selvig), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Ray Stevenson, (Volstagg), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Tadanobu Asano (Hogun) and Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), alongside franchise newcomers Zachary Levi (Chuck) as Fandral, Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) as Malekith the Accursed, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as Algrim the Strong / Kurse.
