While DC Comics fans hold out hope that Warner Bros. will take the opportunity to announce its plans for a DC Movie Universe post-Man of Steel, fans of Marvel will be seeing plenty of their favourite superheroes at the San Diego Comic-Con later this month, with Thor, Captain America and Spider-Man all set to have a presence when the festivities get underway two weeks from now.
According to Variety, Marvel Studios' Hall H panel will showcase the upcoming solo sequels Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, although given Marvel's track record of knocking the ball out of the park at SDCC, you'd have to expect a few surprises, especially with Guardians of the Galaxy, The Avengers 2, Ant-Man and three mystery Phase Three movies all on the horizon.
Meanwhile Sony has also announced via Hero Complex that Andrew Garfield will join Jamie Foxx (Electro) and Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn) on Friday, July 19th as The Amazing Spider-Man 2 leads the studio's Hall H presentation, which is also set to include Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and RoboCop.
The San Diego Comic-Con International gets underway with a preview night on July 17th and runs until July 21st.
