DC Entertainment aims to conquer Comic-Con International: Sand Diego 2013 with a look at the best-selling new seriesSuperman Unchained, artwork by J.H. Williams III for The Sandman:Overture, a preview of the dark times for DC Comics – The New 52, and the unveiling of the Justice League KIA car. The comic book publisher will be occupying an interactive 4,500 square foot booth (#1915) which will be displaying a collection of Superman costumes.

Neil Gaiman will be present with artists Dave McKean and Sam Kieth to talk about a new six issue miniseries titled The Sandman: Overture which features illustrations by J.H. Williams III which commences on October 30, 2013. Getting a preview at the conference is the seven issue Forever Evil series by writer Geoff Johns and artist David Finch where the rogue gallery rules the day in the DC Comics – The New 52. Appropriately, a new documentary will be teased at panel discussion lead by Johns, Kevin Shinick (Robot Chicken), Andrea Romano (Batman: The Animated Series) and Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights) called Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics.
Variant covers will be made available for Justice League, Batman, Superman Unchainedand Batman’66 along with collectibles like Aardman: Superman Action Figure, a three-pack of Super Best Friends Forever Action Figures, and Batman Arkham City: Hugo Strange. Premiering on Friday will be the DC Universe Animated Original Movie Flashpoint Paradox which revolves around an alternative universe of Justice League.
