Max Landis - son of An American Werewolf in London director John Landis, writer of Chronicle and all-round comic book fanatic - has offered his thoughts on Zack Snyder's Superman movie, Man of Steel (see video below).
SPOILERS AND BAD LANGUAGE AHOY!
Landis makes a few interesting points that go deeper than the general criticism towards the film. Whereas many have lamented the 40 minutes of destruction at the story's climax, and the potential thousands of Metropolis citizens who would have died within it, Landis provides a different, more character-focused reason for moving the fight elsewhere.
His main gripe is not that Superman (Henry Cavill) kills General Zod (Michael Shannon), but that he doesn't do it sooner. What do you think?
